The International Flavor Award’s summer event was held at Angell Park from June 24-26 and they were a complete success. Over 40 companies submitted over 150 products to be judged, and presented to the public at the Summer Feast Beer Bacon and BBQ fest. There were 30 different categories in the divisions of hot sauce, barbeque sauce, salsa, jams and jellies, mustards, and also a snacks division.
We are already planning on making next year’s event bigger and better. Adding multiple attractions and events to bring more value to the participants of the IFA’s. Attractions that are being planned are things such as a wing eating contest with a hot sauce form the IFA’s. A pig roast that will feature barbeque sauces from the IFA’s. And as always companies that enter the IFA’s are offered a free vending pass for the weekend, a 500-dollar value.
